How the professionals get streak free glass.

Any mum of toddlers or any dog owner would probably tell you that streak free glass is the bane of their lives . As both a mother of little kids and a professional cleaner I'm here to tell you it is mine too!
If you don't do it right then it's a lot of graft for a very dissapointing result , so you do it over again only to find the same thing happens again !  Well ,  I am going to tell you how to go from streaks to sparkling in a flash!
There's no great trick to this I'm afraid as it's all down to the tools you use ! But the good news is that there's not much elbow grease  or cost involved !

Firstly let's have a chat about cloths ... this is the important bit in your quest for a streak free finish . You need to invest in a "glass cloth" now when I say invest I don't mean break the bank , they are available from certain U.K. Bargain shops for a mere 39p (leave me a comment if you need to know where!) and go up to £3 each from a leading houseware shop (again leave a comment for info !) . The difference is literally in the thickness which has no affect on the overall outcome! These glass cloths can be used with just water but I do prefer to use a glass cleaner I do have a specific brand I have always used and won't use anything else , it's 99p so won't break the bank ! ( leave me a comment for details !)

Please note that these are not the same as the average microfibre cloths and are not sold in most shops , you have to know what you're looking for ! These have a shiny finish/ feel to them .
So in short these are the only two products you need .
 I use them to clean
  • Windows
  • Glass
  • Stainless steel
  • Televisions
  • Mirrors
  • Car windows
  • Oven door exteriors
  • Gloss tiles
  • Gloss kitchen cupboard doors
  • Gloss wardrobe doors .
  • Taps & porcelain (after sanitising)
  • Shower doors .
When used wet you may need to dry the area being cleaned with another dry glass cloth but when used dry with the spray it will sparkle with no buffing .

Final thoughts.

I have tried everything from vinegar, newspaper, shammy, ammonia , squeegees, those nifty little squeegee machines you can buy at great cost , and the only effective way I've found to be streak free is by using the simple little glass cloth .
If you try it let me know or if you have any tips of your own We'd love to hear them drop us a line in the comments box !
